Dude! I don’t have any change! If I had change I’d give it to you! I’ve only got enough money to medicate myself!
That’s what I overheard at the 7-11 on my way home from work. People seem a little more stressed out the last few days. The “we’re all in this together” smiles are becoming less and less. That’s if you’re lucky enough to see a smile.
Almost everyone you see is sporting a face mask.
I didn’t plan on starting this blog during a worldwide pandemic. The little notice came up on my email, “Congratulations! You’ve been a member of WordPress for one month.
One month, and I still couldn’t think of any theme or story that I wanted to start out with.
Procrastination leads to anxiety, and there is more than enough to go around at this moment in time, on this planet.
So today, finally I started. (Burned a pot of rice while I was lost in writing world too.)
What I’m going to do with this blog is tell you stories, show you photos, I think I’m a pretty good artist, so I’ll show you my art. I’ll give you some recipes passed down from the family, various roommates, and one night stands when I was lucky enough to be offered a good meal. I’ll tell you about how I almost became a rock star, about living with the A.I.D.S virus swimming through my bloodstream for over thirty years, and much more.
Basically, I’ll fill you in on the thoughts that constantly are churning through my head 24-7, even when I’m asleep.
Mostly though. I want to entertain you, give hope during the dark times, and put something good out there.
Thank you for your time and I’ll see you sooner than later. xoGrillo!!
